If you are interested to see real countryside Nepal where the nature is in it's pristine, this is it! Beautiful road built around 1950s by Swiss Engineers, this is the place where Everest expeditions team walked through to reach Everest during 1950s to summit the world's tallest mountain. Beautiful terraced rice fields, breath-taking scenery, Nepal's ethnic villages, commanding views of Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Rolwaling mountain range with Gauri Shanker (7145m), turquoise blue rivers of Bhote Kosi (Tibetan River) and Tama Kosi (Bronze River). The best of all single track blacktopped road winding through tall pine trees and numerous terraced rice fields.
Visit the Tibet border on the first day, ride as high as 2500m at Thulo Chaur forest ridge, enjoy the views of torquoise blue water of Tama Kosi, arrive at the bustling little town of Jiri. Hike to the 50+ years old Swiss Cheese Factory. In Jiri we will learn to cook momos.

ABOUT OUR BIKES: We use Royal Enfield 500CC with left gear shift, 5 speed, self start. Saddle bags are provided.

Day 01:

Ride Kathmandu to the Last Resort, Tibet border. 112km. A short visit to the Kodari Tibet border is fun. Great mountain range from Dhulikhel on a clear day. Deluxe Tented camp accommodation.

Day 02:

Ride along the Bhote Kosi river to Jiri. 145km. Superb mountain views from Mude and beautiful countryside road. Very low or almost no traffic.

Day 03:

After breakfast, hike to 50+ years old Swiss Cheese factory and see Yak Cheese in the making. If we are lucky we might even see some yaks grazing. 6 hours total hike.

Day 04:

Ride back to Kathmandu following the spectacular Sun Kosi river on the beautiful Khurkot - Dhulikhel Japanese road. Check into a hotel in Thamel.

  • Bike with fuel for the entire trip, tour guide.
  • Hotel accommodation with all three meals.
